Dr. Bell is amazing. She took her time educating me about my injury and answering all my questions. Her staff are very helpful and kind as well.

Dr. Tinisha Ricks was very professional and compassionate in her care for my feet, and in her explanation of possible treatment options.

Questions patients ask

Ask us anything →
Do you take my insurance?

We accept most major plans, including Aetna, Anthem/BCBS, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Oxford, EmblemHealth, Empire BCBS, Humana, MetLife and Guardian. We verify your benefits before your visit, so there are no surprises. Call us to confirm your specific plan.

Do I need a referral to see a podiatrist?

Many plans let you see a podiatrist without a referral, though some HMO plans require one. It is worth checking with your insurer, and we are happy to help you confirm before you come in.

How soon can I be seen?

Appointments are often available within days. Hours differ by office, so booking online is the fastest way to see the times each location actually has free. If your problem is urgent, tell us when you book and we will do our best to fit you in.

What should I bring to my first visit?

Your insurance card and a photo ID, a list of any medications you take, and, if you can, the shoes you wear most. Worn shoes tell us a lot about how you walk and what is straining your feet.

Do you perform foot surgery?

Yes. Our doctors specialize in minimally invasive foot and ankle surgery for bunions, hammertoe, and other structural problems. Many procedures are done through small incisions under local anesthesia, often with same-day discharge and a faster recovery than traditional surgery.

Which office should I go to?

Every office offers the same doctors, the same care, and the same equipment, so pick whichever is easiest to reach. Grand Central keeps the widest hours, six days a week. Two offices open fewer days, so check the hours for the one you want before you travel.

Do you treat children?

Yes. We care for pediatric foot concerns including ingrown toenails, flat feet, warts, and gait problems, alongside our care for adults.
