Accessibility Statement
We want every patient to be able to use this website and get into our offices. If either one fails you, we want to know, and we will fix it.

Tell us, and we will fix it
If any part of this website is difficult or impossible for you to use, contact us and we will help you get what you need by another route, and we will work on the underlying problem.
Call 917-398-FOOT (3668) and ask for Dr. Farah Alani, who handles accessibility concerns for the practice.
Please tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and what got in the way. We aim to respond within five business days.
What we have done on this website
This site was rebuilt in 2026 with accessibility considered from the start rather than added at the end. In practice that means:
- Every page can be operated with a keyboard alone. The menus do not require a mouse or a hover.
- Images that carry meaning have descriptive alternative text.
- Headings are used in a real, nested order, so a screen reader can navigate the page structure.
- Text and background colours were chosen for contrast, not only for appearance.
- Text can be enlarged in your browser without the layout breaking or content disappearing.
- Forms and buttons are labelled, and the labels are read out by assistive technology.
- Nothing on the site flashes, blinks, or moves automatically.
- Phone numbers, addresses, and booking links work on a screen reader and on a small screen.
What we have not done, and we would rather say so
This website has not been formally audited against WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We have built to those principles, and we have not had an independent expert measure the result. We would rather tell you that plainly than claim a standard we have not verified.
An audit is planned. When it is done, this page will say what it found and what we changed.
Getting into our offices
Accessibility is not only a website question. If you need to know about step-free access, lift access, doorway widths, accessible restrooms, or anything else about physically getting into one of our four Manhattan offices, call us at 917-398-FOOT (3668) before you travel and we will tell you exactly what to expect at the office you are coming to.
We would rather tell you exactly what to expect than publish a general claim that turns out to be wrong for the office you are visiting. Building entrances, elevators, and restrooms differ across our four locations. Call ahead and we will describe the route into the specific office you are coming to.
Communication support
If you need an interpreter, a sign language interpreter, materials in large print, or another form of communication support in order to receive care, tell us when you book and we will arrange it. Language assistance is available free of charge.
Third-party services
Some things we link to are operated by other companies, including our online booking system and our review platform. We do not control how accessible they are. If one of them blocks you, call us and we will book your appointment for you over the phone.
