Dr. Tinisha Ricks is a board-certified, fellowship-trained podiatric surgeon dedicated to delivering advanced, personalized foot and ankle care for patients of all activity levels. Originally from New Jersey, Dr. Ricks combines extensive surgical training with a compassionate, patient-focused approach designed to help individuals return to optimal mobility and performance. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry with a minor in Psychology from Ramapo College before obtaining her Doctorate in Podiatric. Medicine from New York College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Ricks completed her three-year post-graduate residency with added credentials in reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery at Good Samaritan University Hospital, where she served as Chief Resident. During her residency, she gained comprehensive experience in elective surgery, trauma, reconstruction, wound care, and minimally invasive foot and ankle procedures. She also completed the Bako Podiatric Dermatopathology Mini-Fellowship, further expanding her expertise in lower extremity dermatologic conditions.
To advance her specialization in sports medicine, Dr. Ricks completed a prestigious Foot and Ankle Sports Medicine fellowship at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health. Her fellowship training focused on both surgical and non-surgical treatment of sports-related injuries, and she assisted the team physicians for professional organizations including the Seattle Seahawks, Seattle Kraken, and Seattle Sounders FC. Whether treating everyday foot concerns or helping athletes maintain peak performance, Dr. Ricks is committed to providing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's goals and lifestyle. Outside of medicine, Dr. Ricks enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, painting, and staying active through basketball, tennis, and yoga.
