Say goodbye to any nagging symptoms of Athlete's Foot with our range of highly specialized and individualized Athlete's Foot treatments. A fungal infection of the foot that is characterized by itching, redness, and dry flaky skin.
It starts as a scaly, red rash usually in between the toes. It tends to be itchy at night or when shoes and socks are first removed. Sometimes blisters or ulcers can form in more advanced cases. There will be chronic dryness and scaling on the soles and side of the foot.
Topical antifungals are the first line treatment. Oral antifungals can be used if topical ones fail.
Topical antifungal medications are highly effective at curing foot fungus. Wash the feet twice daily, dry very well, including between the toes, and then apply the topical antifungal medication. Treatment continues until all the layers of the affected skin have sloughed off, and for an additional couple of weeks, to ensure the fungus is truly gone. If the topical medication is ineffective, oral medication can be given.
With treatment, Athletes Foot is expected to heal completely with rash resolution and return to normal skin.
