Symptoms include pain, difficulty fitting shoes, pain while wearing shoes.

What is Minimally Invasive Surgery?

Minimally invasive surgery, also known as microsurgery, is a procedure completed right in-office. A small incision is made to the to access the area requiring treatment and thin precise instruments are used to shave, remove, or reposition bone or tissue. These very small incisions are all that is necessary as the microsurgical instruments are guided with ultrasound and radiography technologies minimizing damage to the surrounding tissues and scarring. Recovery time is much shorter than more traditional surgical interventions and will range from one to several weeks, but patients are often able to bear weight immediately and may be able to walk out after the procedure is completed.

Benefits of Minimally Invasive Surgery

Shorter recovery time than open surgery, ability to bear weight immediately, and less scarring.
